A new energy efficient HVAC control system was installed during ship’s normal operation. The old system was starting to fail and had to be replaced. A new Ethernet network was installed and new sensors were installed, all new sensors of Modbus communicating type. All frequency drives is now communicating over serial Modbus. It is a mix of Schneider Altivar, ABB and Vacon drives in system. A central ViewPort computer was installed in the engine control room, providing a graphical interface to the system.
