During 2018 we installed a new control system for the heating, ventilation and cooling on Color Magic. The old PLC system had become obsolete and the new system enabled many new energy saving features such as CO2 control, time based control, fan and pumps speed optimization. Areas included is this upgrade is accommodation and engine rooms. In order to future proof the installation a new IP network was also installed, connecting all 55 PLC:s to the ECR and Bridge control stations.
The ROI for this project is about 2 years.
Installation was carried out as a turn-key project both during dockings and normal operation.
